The cemetery was created in 1913 and the exact date when burials first began there is unknown. There is some tombstones at this location with a document death year of 1873 and 1879. Bingham city was incorporated in 1904 but some burials occured was before that. Some locals refer to this cemetery as the "Kennecott Copper Cemetery due to it's location by the Kennecott Mines.
In 1999 the Kennecott Copper Mines relocated the remains of those buried at the Chandler Cemetery to the Bingham City Cemetery
